Mockingjay Production moving to Paris


After having wrapped up production for the Mockingjay film in Atlanta, the production team will be moving to Paris. The final shooting of the film will be in Berlin. A casting call has been revealed in Berlin looking for 1000 international extras for 2 international feature films.

'Mockingjay' film trailer rumored to appear at Cannes


The first trailer for the first part of the two-part Mockingjay film is rumored to debut at the Cannes Film Festival. This has not been confirmed by Lionsgate or the Cannes Film Festival but seems likely due to a previous appearance. The Cannes Film Festival will run from May 14-25.

Gwendoline Christie to Replace Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme


Game of Thrones fans, get excited! The studio has confirmed that Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie will be replacing Lily Rabe in the role of Commander Lyme.

To those unfamiliar with the GoT-verse or the actress, Gwendoline Christie is the actress who plays Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones and Lexi in the television show Wizards vs Aliens.

Catching Fire wins at MTV Movie Awards


The MTV Movie Awards voted "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" Best Movie of the year on Sunday April 13.

RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman


We send out our thoughts and prayers to Philip Seymour Hoffman and his family and friends. Hoffman played Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire and filmed most of his Mockingjay scenes before his passing.

Lionsgate released a statement:

Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation. We're very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip's family.
