Entertainment Weekly hosts a poll for casting choices in the coming Hunger Games movie. Please note, the choices in their polls are not necessarily actors being considered for the roles, only popular selections amongst fans.

In this recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Suzanne Collins discusses the books she loves, including childhood favorites and classics. She also mentions where Katniss gets her surname from.
In response to the tweet Andrew Sims made, regarding his early copy of Mockingjay, Scholastic stated that they have not released any copies and do not know how Sims received his.
As relayed by the Hunger Games official facebook page, Suzanne Collins asked her fans to please refrain from sharing spoilers until everyone has had a chance to read the book.

This article in Publishers Weekly talks about Scholastic's marketing of Mockingjay. In addition to the Official Facebook Page for Hunger Games, the 13 Blog Tour, and Suzanne Collins' book tour, Scholastic is also releasing many items of Hunger Games themed merchandise. In celebration of Suzanne Collin’s final book in the Hunger Games trilogy, a group of bloggers are pitting some of the best-known characters in YA in the ultimate showdown. And you get to pick the winner. That’s right. You read the battles, evaluate the characters, and vote for who has the honor of moving on to the next round. It’s a tournament like you’ve never seen before (because there’s more). The authors have been asked to participate and advocate their character in writing their own version of the battle. Though there is no new information, Scholastic has now released the official list of dates for Suzanne Collins' tour.
According to ReelzChannel, the Hunger Games movie is set to begin filming in February of 2011, and will be released later the same year. The site also speculates further on Chloe Mortez's interest in the film, and name-drops several other actresses as speculated options.
Scholastic has officially revealed the Mockingjay display window. It features copies of the first two books, as well as a Mockingjay bird. Other Hunger Games-related images are behind a chain fence, and are harder to see.

As a part of the 13 District Blog Tour, Scholastic is giving away a free copy of Mockingjay to the person who posts with the best plans in preparation for the book release. The winner will receive a signed copy of the book on the morning of August 24th.
