The million dollar (probably more with the current inflation) question: Is Gary Ross officially the director of the Hunger Games film? As the days go by, the answer seems to be getting closer and closer to "yes". In a Digital Spy article, it states that it has been reported that "Gary Ross has been announced as the director of The Hunger Games". So is he or isn't he?

Even though it is nearing the one month mark since the release of Mockingjay, the popularity of the series just keeps rising!
Guess we won't be seeing the film in 2011 like we thought it would. Color Force has stated that there still isn't a set date, but they are expecting it to be released in 2012.
Katie Roiphe from NY Times has a review on the Hunger Games trilogy! The review is complete with a brief run-through about the series, a character analysis on Katniss, and the complications that are seen in the book.
Nothing is set in stone but there is a possibility that Lionsgate may have found the director for the Hunger Games film. The possible director and Lionsgate are currently in early talks, a good sign after the long anticipation to find out who will be directing the film version of the series so many people have fallen in love with.
