I could tell you that HungerGamesTrilogy.Com started off August 31st, 2008 and I would be right.

I could tell you that HungerGamesTrilogy.Com started off July 18th, 2006 and I would still be right.

But how could this be? One site, two dates more than two years apart. It resembles the “being there in two places” idea, doesn’t it?

The explanation is that HungerGamesTrilogy.Com is first and foremost, above everything else, a website dedicated to the fan community. We have been a forum long before the whole “giant fansite” setting came along and we will always revolve around that ideal. Members’ convenience has always been first priority, and it will continue to be so.

Therefore, our community that gradually evolved into the website you are looking at right now started years ago when one lady, by the alias of “Twitchtip,” started the first forum for Suzanne Collins’ first series, The Underland Chronicles (abbreviated as “TUC”). Half a year after this, a new band of forums (using phpbb3, which we now have) was made by Powerking and his friend who owed him a favor, Limefan913. This community was soon joined by several fans who were questioning the ending of the last book, including a thirteen-year-old girl under the alias of “gregortheoverlanderfan” who would in two years turn into Alexandria. About a year later, after the forums recovered from a major downtime (in which some members migrated to 600 Ft. Below, a RPG for TUC), a girl by the abbreviated name of Aya joined the community as well.

Fast forward eight months. TheUnderlandChronicles.Com suffers a major decline in activity, due to a newer site about a newer book from the same author.

HungerGamesTrilogy.Com was born exactly one day before the release of the first book, The Hunger Games. In less than one year, this forum grew to be known as the most prominent website in the Hunger Games fandom, filled with more than one thousand members who were notorious for their welcoming nature and their original ideas.

The beginning of the new decade, 2010, marked Alexandria's resignation as a longtime administrator and the respective promotion of SwimmingGeek272, with new moderators still to come.

So now we’re here with a beautiful website built by yours truly, Aya, with an incredibly professional (and to be added upon) staff and a bubbly, knowledgeable community.

And now what?

Well, let’s wait and find out.
