Lili was over at my house, and we were laughing or something, and my mom comes up and says "Oh the fun you two have together."
There was dead silence for about 5 seconds, and then Lili and I started laughing so hard, and my mom was sooooo confused, like "What?! Was it something I said? What?! Why are you two laughing?!"

"So, it's you and a syringe against the Capitol? See, this is why I never let you make the plans."

Oh, how Haymitch cracks me up.

And not forgetting:


Peeta's interview makes me laugh every time. I think it's Katniss' comment about it that makes me laugh the most though. "I am pregnant." It just seemed so random to me.

Don't have my book with me, but my favorite quote is by Johanna when she says something like

"and who ever isn't dead in the morning can vote on the rest." -when talking about the bread. disturbing, but hilarious.

and Katniss:

" I guess now is a good time to mention I hung Seneca Crane." I laughed forever.

Hmm...one of my favorites would have to be

"Only one person would be damaged beyond repair if Peeta died. Me."

Sniff. Made me nearly cry.

I also love "You could live a hundred lifetimes and not deserve him" if we're going for serious quotes.

But the ones that really made me laugh were "I came for a drink," "I swear if you cry I'll kill you," and "Poor Finnick. Is this the first time in your life you haven't looked pretty?"

Heehee she cracks me up.

lol that one was ruined for me because I was like, "Wait a sec...who's Seneca Crane??"

Wow, I don't even remember that one! That's a really good one. Very profound. And I think it really shows the kind of relationship Katniss and Peeta have. (More proof that they're meant for each other! )

me too!! At first I was like "Uh, what a jerk!! And ewww, why is she naked all the time?" lol. but them my brother kept going on and on about how awesome she is...and then I realized...she IS. I mean, the nudity still disturbs me a little (lol), but what chick can hurl around axes? That's awesome ^^ I love it when she said, "Whole country in rebellion? Wouldn't want that, would we?" (something like that).


I like it too. Even more when Peeta kept calling her that in THG. In CF he's all sweetness, and I kinda miss the little sarcastic jokes he makes in THG. "You here to finish me off, sweetheart?" "[Katniss:] Although for all I know I may be killing you. [Peeta:] Well, could you hurry up with it, please?" I love those! But I still love 100% sweet CF Peeta too.

I really liked the scene on the beach with Katniss and Peeta, not that I'm a huge Peeta/Katniss fan but it was kinda hot. "I thought I was an expert on hunger but this was a completely different kind." or something like that lol.

"I couldn't shake you awake," I say. "Look, if you wanted to be babied, you should have asked Peeta."

"Done knocking yourself out, sweetheart?"

Katniss: "I don't like self-righteous people"
Haymitch: "What's to like?"

Finnick: "Want a sugar cube?"...
Katniss: "No, thanks. I'd love to borrow your outfit sometime though."

... I pull an arrow, whip the notch into place, and am about to let it fly when I'm stopped by the sight of Finnick kissing Peeta. And it's so bizarre, even for Finnick, that I stay my hand.

Peeta: "... I painted a picture of Rue. How she looked after Katniss had covered her in flowers."
Haymitch: "... And what exactly were you trying to accomplish?"...
Katniss "I guess this is a bad time to mention I hung a dummy and painted Seneca Crane's name on it..."
Cienna: "You . . . Hung . . . Seneca Crane?"
Katniss: "Yes. I was showing off my new knot-tying skills, and he somehow ended up at the end of the noose."

Finnick: "What's going on down there Katniss? Have they all joined hands? Taken a vow of nonviolence? Tossed the weapons in the sea in defiance of the Capitol?"
Katniss: "No."

Katniss, thinking to Peeta: Move, you idiot.

Peeta: "Mon-hees."

Katniss: "Hey, Haymitch, if you're not too drunk, we could use a little something for our skin."

Johanna: "And I doubt they'll figure out our plan, seeing as we can barley understand it ourselves."

The scene with Snow and Katniss in the study was one of my favorites and this was my favorite quote of the book.

Snow: The Capital is fragile (something like that, I forgot what it was exactly).
Katniss: It must be extremely fragile if a handful of berries can bring it down.
