Kind of a bit stressed right now >.<
We got our GCSE timetables and I have 15 exams to do :\
The worst bit is most of them are centred around a week. The killer day is the day I have 3 exams :( French listening, French reading and English Lang Paper 1. Absolute worst day.

Ooh, in a few weeks we have some Cambridge undergraduates coming to talk to the year 11s, Geth, are you one of the people? :)

Tomorrow I have to stay after school to catch up on English work. I've been missing too many days :| I'm also falling behind in math and I have eleven pages of makeup work to do. For homework. Tonight. >< AND tomorrow in English we're going to be reading two books that are "contemporary fiction": One of our choosing outside of class, and one that we have to read in class. For the one we're reading outside of class, we have to write a book report on. For the one in class, we have to do a crap-ton of stuff on. In History we're writing letters.
I'm not sure how exactly we're learning anything from doing that.
And now I have to decide what effing "contemporary fiction" book I am going to read. I'm considering just doing a book I know enough about already. Rrgh.
Now, I'm off to do math homework. -.-'

Sole has his AS Exam dates now:

French Oral - Sometime between May 4th and June 1st
English Language - 27th May [unsure]
Politics [Resit] - Tuesday 1st June 9:15-10:30
Politics - Thursday 3rd June - 9:15-11:00
French - Friday 4th June - 9:15-12:15
History [Module 1 Resit] - Wednesday 16th June - 1:30-3:00
History - Wednesday 23rd June - 1:30-3:00

I am irritated not only that the three harder exams are lumped together [noone is properly prepared for English or French and Politics will require lots of revision] whilst History, by far the easiest, has three empty weeks leading up to it.

Also, we have our module results coming out Thursday. And we have to make our decisions on resits by Friday. I've decided that I'll resit if I get a B in either History or Politics.

what would be a good title for a story regarding a girl living in Paris a few years after the french revolution? i wrote a historical fiction story for english and was stuck on what title to use. any suggestion?.

my story is about a girl who works in her family's cafe. she is into women's rights but is suppressed by her family. she is of the third estate so she cant really spend time in her day to speak out for womens rights but she always listens to the second estate women who are protesters for womens civil rights who come to the cafe. but later she finds out that these women were not very into what they did and were scared of being killed. this makes her angry but she feels that she cant do anything to increase the support of womens rights so she mutes her ideas and leads a quiet life.
i am not sure if this is a good explanation but i mention fire a lot in the story so i was thinking along the lines of " a dying fire".

Yikes...your year is ending pretty late. Good luck on...all of those, really.

I've decided to only sign up for two APs. I don't care if my French teacher thinks I've improved in speaking; I. Am. Not. Taking. That. Exam. But on a better note, my French teacher thinks I've improved in speaking. It was a bit creepy how she told me that but I'm relatively pleased. It means staying up 'till two and working my a** off paid off...finally. On a worse note, my French grade is still at a B-. Guess it doesn't really matter all that much...>.<

Some days, I just have to love extra credit. Well, I did an assignment thinking it was an assignment but it turned out to be extra credit. So now I brought my 88% --> 94% --> 95% --> 99% in US History. And I did fairly well (97%) on the math test that many people didn't so well on. So my teacher presented all of us with a bonus quiz to boost the test grade. I got 13/0 on that so now my Calc grade (and apparently one of the hardest AP courses in the junior year >.>) is now at a 100.4%. Now I just have to do that for English and French. XD

I'm a bit peeved, though. Our spring break is at the beginning of April so right now, I'm going to be as mad at Lent as possible. It's because of Lent that we're having 5 full school weeks before the slightest idea of a break presents itself...-glares-.

I finished finals last week, I got a 100% on my Algrebra, Science, History, 95% on Geometry, 97 and 96% on my English Vocab and Grammar, and mostly 86-88% on my Spanish tests.

But I can't even relax, because in a couple weeks, we will have to take our English MCAS. So to prepare us, our school has decided that we need to take a mock English MCAS every single test period we have this week, which means 4 English Mock MCASs a week, until we finally take that stupid test

No - i'm gonna be at home then. Though if you live in Lincolnshire i think it is, by Grimsby or somethng, you will probably be seeing some of the other Christ's College undergrads. Otherwise, i have no idea which college is coming to speak to you (each college has a different area of the country to focus on. We have somewhere in North England. The college who has my home area is Churchill)

By the by, Sole, what is really irritating is when they put History, Stats, RE and psychology at the same time. No one did all four but i had to go into isolation because i had to do the history paper before the rest of the country :|

Um I think a good title would be "The Believing Battle" like you have to believe in what you are fighting for and she somehow finds a way to do that.

My English teacher gave us a timed writing (through a substitute teacher when she was absent) and assigned us 60 pages to read in addition to at least 20 question to answer using textual support. We also have a quiz. Who knew having a substitute would be such a cruel punishment?

Yes! I am finally done with the Crucible! No more annoying as hell essays, tests, or timed essays about it! I took my Crucible final test on Monday and Tuesday.
-Part 1 (notes and vocab)- 96/94 104% (100% + 4 extra credit points)
-Part 2 (timed essay) 20/20 (first perfect on a timed essay. I sure have come a long way from that 5/15 timed essay on John Proctor :D )
-Part 3 (story questions & comprehension) 95/98 96% (very good considering this was the hardest one)
I pulled my reading grade up to a 95.1% A, so I will probably get an A this quater.
We're watching the movie version of the Crucible, and it's quite comical. Daniel Day-Lewis as John Proctor looks kind of like Jesus. We start Romeo and Juliet on Friday.

Social Studies chapter test tomorrow about after the Civil War and Reconstruction. I should do decently...

Science. Ugh, how I despise my science teacher. She is so unintelligent. We have to make a diorama of an assigned biome. My partner and I got flowing-water ecosystem. How is that a biome? That could be any river or stream anywhere! She is so infuriating...

Religion...don't even get me started. I also strongly dislike this teacher. She hates my guts. We have to read passages on the Bible and tell what they mean and answer questions about them. Very annoying.

Anyway, I have all A's and my lowest grade is a 93.8% in Art. Enough of my rambling... :D

I envy everyone who has straight A's right now. I'm struggling in English and French...and my mom's expecting a solid B from both courses...I am nowhere near that as of right now.

Aww...just sleep earlier, Dee! I don't know how that'll help but I guess it'll at least make you feel better. Maybe.

Not counting the non-academic classes, I have...2 A's, 2 B's, and one beautiful C trailing behind me. Yeah, I'm tired.
